Hi y'all, I’m Adrian – a proud mountain girl born and raised in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. My roots run deep in the hills of North Carolina, where I was brought up on faith, family, sweet tea, and Jesus. From a young age, my life was shaped by the strong hands and even stronger hearts of my parents, and especially my beloved grandparents, Nanny Effie and Poppy CV. They made sure I knew what it meant to grow up Appalachian – from Saturdays riding four-wheelers through the hollers to stringing beans on the porch after school.
I graduated from West Caldwell High School in Lenoir, NC, and stayed true to my mountain roots by commuting up and down the Blue Ridge to Appalachian State University in Boone. In 2008, I earned my BSBA in Finance and Banking, and not long after, I met my late husband, John. Together, we built a beautiful life and a growing family. When John passed in 2020, my world shifted—but with strength, faith, and the love of my children, I began the journey of rebuilding my life from the ground up.
Today, I share my life with my partner Matt, who has brought renewed joy and steadiness to our home. Along with our two dogs, Blu and Sally, we now call Granite Falls, NC home. Life hasn’t always been easy, but through every high and low, I’ve carried the legacy of my raising: grit, grace, and an unshakable love for the mountains that made me.
I’m Adrian—39 years young, full of life, and never one to turn down a good laugh or a good time. I’m funny, a little witty (okay, maybe a lot), and I love bringing joy wherever I go. At my core, I’m loyal to the people I love and fiercely devoted to my family. My heart is big, sometimes a little sappy, but always genuine. The greatest joy in my life is being “Mama” to my three beautiful girls—Logan, Emersyn, and Marley—who keep me grounded, inspired, and constantly on my toes. They are my reason, my rhythm, and my greatest adventure.
I’ve always had a deep love for Appalachian folklore and legends—the kind of stories passed down on front porches and around campfires, rich with mystery, history, and heart. There’s something magical about the way our local tales and traditions weave together with the land and the people who’ve called it home for generations. I’m also a big believer in savoring life’s simple joys: good eats that warm the soul, belly laughs that heal the heart, and moments that remind us how beautiful this life really is. Through it all, I’m here to share my journey with you—every twist, turn, triumph, and truth—as I keep living life to the fullest, one story (and sweet tea) at a time.
